Happy Superbowl Sunday! Jk, I don’t care. I know the Chiefs are playing primarily because I am a female alive during the golden age of Taylor Swift, but I have no idea who the other team is. Just keeping it real here. I do love Hilary Duff though. She’s just one of those people who no matter how much time has passed, I find myself thinking, I wonder what that girl is up to! And it’s always something fun.
Anyway, I did find inspiration to make an actual soup today because I love wordplay and eat everything almost exclusively in a bowl with a spoon. I’m leaning broccoli cheddar but if you have a soup rec, holler. Should I be embarrassed that I just asked for ‘soup recs’ in the intro of this substack? Am I officially an old? I’ll be recommending socks below so perhaps it was only a matter of time.
In the spirit of staying young and fr$sh, I present this tiktok in lieu of a weekly song. It is unhinged, no? I’ve watched it 12 times.

Wearing: My entire life people have tried to inform me that my eyes are like red? and like, am I perhaps, *giggles*, high? It’s so fun living in a dry climate with a strong tendency toward dry eyes, you guys. My eye doctor recently recommended THESE DROPS which have quite literally changed my whole existence. Not only do they work in seconds, they are non-addictive, and you can use your HSA to pay for them. My eyes lewk SO GOOOOOD, everyone. White as snow. These babies have become my absolute favorite accessory because now I can finally just be high in peace, ugh.
Also wearing: this hot dog clip. It’s all about keeping the people guessing, y’all. Just when they think they know you, BAM. Meat-related hair accessory.
Sharing: How to take a mirror selfie (PS, if you’re not subscribed to ShopRat, she’s becoming my absolute favorite Substacker). This is the content the people (see: me) need!
Question for Devon: Does this dip look good or weird? You can say both.
Color me: Blue. A lot of fashion people have predicted the next color trend after cherry red (see Leandra saying it will be reptar green, See Becky saying it’s going to be custard yellow). Me? I’m with Laurel Pantin and betting on cobalt blue. Why? Because it looks really good with cherry red, of course. And I have the socks, turtleneck (on sale!), and eye on this pillow to prove it.

Nerding out on: an interactive dictionary of color combinations! Be still my color-loving heart.
Loling at: ‘Lines from the Barbie Monologue or Something I’ve Said to a Woman in a Bar Bathroom After Three Martinis.’ Also, this:
Still not buying: clothes, which I will keep telling you about until April, so sorry! As such, here’s this week’s version of ‘buy these since I can’t’ links: a dress in “a sun-drenched palette of citrus and periwinkle” that makes you (me) want to plan a summer Italian holiday, my favorite sweater in another color, and a pair of culottes that I’m already planning spring outfits around.
Stocking up on: ingredients with which to make Joy’s seemingly easy and definitely delicious focaccia pizza and the cake I make every winter.
Attempting: to emulate Keri Russell’s Golden Globe ‘effortless’ hairstyle with her hairstylist’s ‘tutorial.’ Wish me ongoing luck, please - or, alternatively, pay for her hairstylist to be my hairstylist, TYSM, in advance!
Really really really hoping: Cupid brings me this.
