Do you ever scroll the sale of a retailer you like and you’re on page 42 and you’ve just completely lost the plot? I went in looking for a dress and suddenly I’m adding in a sequin jumpsuit ‘just in case’ and a pair of platform wedges and perhaps I need a sarong? My cart has 28 things in it totalling 12,568 dollars, none of them are even a dress and an hour has gone by. How did I get here? What time is it? Do I need a going-out top if I only go out when it’s daylight?
Please normalize this experience for me and tell me you’ve done the same so I can feel better about myself.
Anyway, while Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner are busy bringing print media back to life and Jesus is doing essentially the same, we are still humbly here, your favorite dynamic DM duo doing the lord’s work, or at least capitalism’s work and keeping you relevant on what we deem to be the most interesting thingz of the past two weeks.
Speaking of ‘coming back from the grave’, this one goes out to Lindsey Lohan. May you and your career someday rise again!

Reading:
Emily’s FeedMe. I’ve been trying to articulate why I like her substack so much and think it’s because she has a distinct voice, doesn’t take herself too seriously, values quality journalism, and does her research. I appreciate her deep dives into niche subject matter (corporate fetishism, restaurant ‘house accounts’, fragrance corner). For 30 dollars a year, it’s an easy, fun read that keeps me relevant. Don’t be deterred by the selfies. It’s part of her mystique. 10/10.
Sandra Semburg’s street-style photo gallery from PFW SS2024. Not sure if this counts as ‘reading’ but her gallery serves as great inspo for the seasons ahead. Free style guide with (mostly) the clothes you have.
Buying: As you now know, Mytheresa had a sale on sale so I bought a belt and a pair of yellow shorts. I did not buy a dress. Why is it so hard to find a good quality mini-dress that doesn’t look like you’re going clubbing and also isn’t made of polyester but doesn’t cost 1k. I want this one from Sportmax but if it was like 50 percent less, lol.
Not wearing: I have a running list to Devon of all the trends I’m not participating in ever again. So far:
90s capris that hit mid-knee
skinny brows
two intentional pieces of hair hanging in your face outside of a ponytail (see below)
all leopard print.
Hot take: I feel like 'What is your ideal going-out top?' is a good question to ask a new friend to find out if you're compatible long-term.

Eyeing: these tie-up cuties, a denim dress (because the limit of denim and chambray and blue in my closet doesn’t exist), and this bracelet set.
Hoping: someone sends me these beauties.
I’m listening to this Eagles cover, another Nancy Myers-inspired cooking playlist, and Beyoncé. Duh. (This is my current favorite song as this issue goes out, but talk to me tomorrow.)
Going: back to Mexico City in April, and I’m spending one night at this hotel and I’m straight up giddy about it.
Making: the easiest, most delicious focaccia bread, which I served with castelvetrano (!!) pesto, prosciutto, and ricotta. Also, salty minty dogs via Caro Chambers (recipe below because there's no link and because I love you and want you to make this for spring sipping)!
Taking this sentiment into a Monday with a somewhat gnarly to-do list:
